What does a trout trip look like

The areas fished offer excellent Spotted Sea Trout fishing opportunities. While trout fishing is best fall to spring, excellent trout fishing can be had year-round. While live bait is an effective tactic typically, we target trout with artificial lures such as topwater, twitch baits, and soft plastics. The locations fished change drastically throughout the year as trout move around quite a bit. When the trout fishing is good is can be a day where we post some good numbers of fish. In the late spring and summer night trips can be productive and a great way to avoid baking during the day in the sun.

What does a redfish trip look like

What’s more exciting than catching a huge slot redfish? Seeing one of those marsh donkeys swim up behind a topwater bait and absolutely destroying it. We focus on fishing the high tide when there is barely enough water for us to get into certain areas. This is the time where we can find redfish, sometimes in large schools, cruising around and feeding in the shallows. We use live/natural bait or artificial lures to target these fish. It never gets old and it might be my very favorite thing to do. If there is time left in your trip once the tide is low, we may drift some live bait in a channel for redfish, flounder or a host of other species. This is a great trip to do if you have a vacation planned for Atlantic Beach or Emerald Isle and you are looking for something to do other than sunbath the entire time.

What does a mixed bag trip look like

The Neuse River in the summertime has a host of options. We may start the day looking for trout and/or redfish and finish the day casting to bluefish under birds. We could start casting to the banks in the morning and fishing structure in the middle of the river once the sun gets high. Because the Neuse River is so large, over ten miles across at the mouth, it offers a wealth of options. We will start every day with a full tank of gas and do what is necessary to get to the fish.

What does a Trophy Red Drum trip look like

If you haven’t, you need to at least once in your life. The Pamlico Sound, Neuse River, and Pamlico River are home to a truly amazing trophy red drum fishery. It’s the largest average size of anywhere I’ve ever fished. 40-pound fish are normal. We catch them on bait, but this is one of the only places I’ve been where you can readily catch them on artificial lures. On the right day they will even take a fly. If you have never caught a giant fish this could be your chance. Its so awesome that its just hard to explain, the pictures probably explain it the best. These are the trips that book up fast so reserve your spot well in advance.
